These Terms of Use apply to the use of the app 8 Moments, also referred to within the app as Momentum - 8 Minute Reset, as well as the associated website.
Purpose of the App
8 Moments is a wellness and self-reflection app. It offers personalised reflection questions (based on an optional mood check), a journal, thought notes, focus tracking, cultural stories, an optional AI companion and personal statistics.
Not a Medical Service
The app does not replace medical, psychotherapeutic, legal or other professional advice. The content provides general reflection prompts. In the event of health complaints, crises or acute danger, users should contact appropriate professional help or their local emergency number.
User Account and Data
Certain features may require a user account. Users are responsible for keeping their access credentials confidential and providing accurate information. Details on the processing of personal data are available in the Privacy Policy.
Subscriptions, Advertising and Plus
The app may include free features, advertising and paid premium features ("8 Moments Plus"). Scope, prices and availability may change. Plus is offered as an auto-renewable subscription via the platform's standard in-app purchase system (Apple App Store on iOS, Google Play on Android).
Payment is charged to the user's App Store or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription automatically renews at the listed price unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Subscriptions can be managed and cancelled at any time in the user's App Store or Google Play account settings.
Promo codes may grant Plus features for a limited time without payment. Redemption is subject to the rules set per code (validity period, single redemption per user, total cap).
Availability
We strive to make the app reliably available. However, uninterrupted and error-free availability cannot be guaranteed at all times.
